About the event
The SSG. Kyle McKee Memorial Ruck was created to honor SSG. Kyle McKee, a U.S. Army UH-60 helicopter repairer who made the ultimate sacrifice on a peacekeeping mission in Egypt in 2020. The event features a competitive rucking option (10K Smoker), a non-competitive rucking option (10K Friendly), and a Familly ruck. All 10K Ruck participants will recieve a commemorative event t-shirt and a SSG. Kyle McKee Memorial Ruck Patch. Family Event participants will not receive a complimentary shirt or patch. We will have additional t-shirts available for purchase. All proceeds will be donated to The SubZero Mission!
10K Smoker- This event is no joke and for serioius competitors. The 10K Smoker is a 6.2 mile ruck where you must carry weight (ruck sack or weighted vest). Participants under 150 lbs. must carry 20 lbs. Participants 150 lbs. and over must carry 30lbs. There will be a 1 mile stretch of the route lined with exercise stations designed to test your fortitude. Participants will be expected to complete all exercises to receive credit. Any participant that finishes the course in under 3 hours will have earned the right to proudly wear our exclusive All American Rucks Elite Patch.
10K Friendly- Not a serious competitor but still looking to challenge yourself? The 10K Friendly is a 6.2 mile course designed to test your mettle. Participants can decide how much weight to carry or can choose to complete the course without carrying weight.

Travel down Leroy Center Road towards Kniffen Road
Take the second entrance into Hidden Lake off of Kniffen
1 mile loop at Hidden Lake
Return to Leroy Softball fields
Family Ruck- Gather your family members and embark on a one-mile ruck march. This non-competitive, family-friendly event encourages teamwork as you navigate through the designated route together. Whether you have little ones in strollers or older kids carrying their own mini backpacks, everyone can participate! The route will include activity/exercise stations to complete as you go. Cross the finish line together as a family, where a celebration awaits. Enjoy refreshments, music, and the sense of accomplishment as you reflect on the adventure you've shared.
